160.00

This is the heart of the 3dPdModular system! It includes a motherboard for the Teensy micro-controller and mounts on top of the Raspberry Pi (NOT included in the module). This is where it all starts from, the only absolutely necessary module. It also provides an interface for outputting sound from your synth, and receiving sound from external sources.
Lastly it provides an interface for saving patches in your synth, and retrieving them on your mobile via the 3dPdModular mobile app!

Description

This module is the heart of the 3dPdModular system. It includes the Pisound audio interface, a motherboard for the Teensy micro-controller, and it mounts on top of the Raspberry Pi (NOT included in the module). It also distributes power to all power buses. It is the first module in your setup in order for the 3dPdModular system to function.

Apart from all these features, this module provides an interface for outputting sound from the synthesizer. It includes three separate inputs which can be panned independently between the stereo output of the synth, which panning can be either manually or voltage controlled. It also breaks out the two inputs of the sound card, with separate knobs for the gain of each channel, plus a main volume knob and a knob for the volume of the headphones output.

A unique feature this module provides is saving patches! With two consecutive short presses of the on-board push-button, the synth will save the patch currently running. This patch can then be retrieved via the 3dPdModular mobile app. You can store as many patches as you want and refer to them when you want to reproduce a patch you liked!
